Kilkenny Art Trip

After an eventful month filled with a series of different trips the biggest trip was Kilkenny Castle.We got a private screening of the Irish Oscar nominated movie 'The song of the sea'. It was about the Irish legend of a selkiee  a human form that shape shift into a seal like creature. As if that wasn’t enough of a treat we got to visit the butler gallery in Kilkenny Castle which was show casing an exhibition on the song of the sea.We got to see how the animation formed the motion pictures.There were some shocking figures on the amount of time taken to form the movie.While the other group got to eat our lunch in the magnificent grounds of Kilkenny Castle .Me and few of the girls were embarrassingly excited to find a playground but we soon found out that we weren't welcome...   

Carlingford

The first day of TY began with finding out our new classes. I was put into class LaGarde , named after Christina LaGarde . After a few weeks we went to Carlingford for team bonding. We left at 9 and arrived at 10. We immediately began with the festivities including karafting, laser tag and zip lining.We got to choose our rooms so we spent the night with our friends eating sweets and Chinese in our pajamas. After 11 we had to stay in our rooms but we still stayed up all night talking and messing.We ended up sleeping at 3 am. Originally we were supposed to wake up at 8:30 am but due to me forgetting to turn off my alarm , at 7 we had an early wake up call.I got the blame even though a few minutes later the same thing happened 3 more times! By then we were all well awake. When the actual wake up call was played there was a series of songs played while we got dressed and got ready for breakfast. After another activity we had to depart Carlingford much to our dismay. We all had a great time and would love to go back!
